Sport Development

Dates to Remember

October 27, 2019:  The first set of Skills Matrices for U12 and below is due to John Bertram (ERRA Sport Development Coordinator) copying Ellorie Hanson (ERRA Membership Services).  The Skills Matrix templates are available at http://ringetteontario.com/resources/sports-development/.  These are no longer sent to Ringette Ontario however they are used within Eastern Region and mandatory for all Eastern Region teams.  The second set of  Skills Matrices is not required, however associations are encouraged to compete end of season matrices and share them with John Bertram (ERRA Sport Development Coordinator) if done.

Fair Ice:

Please note that the Fair Ice Policy was last updated in the Fall of 2018 and must be followed by all teams.
Children's Ringette:

In order to encourage safe, fun and healthy environments for players in our children’s programming up to and including U10, Ringette Canada and Ringette Ontario are developing a modified program.  Changes which include introducing small-area games (cross-ice and half-ice ringette) as the standard of play, will be introduced as follows:

  • 2019/20: Pilot program for U8 players in selected areas
  • 2020/21: All U8 players
